This Cartier Ballon Bleu de Cartier has been professionally repaired and restored in our professional watch watchstudio.

The original specification of reference W4BB0017 is a 36 mm stainless-steel automatic model with a sapphire crystal, silvered dial, blued-steel hands, steel bracelet, and factory water resistance of 3 bar. The original factory version was supplied with a diamond-set bezel; however, the bezel on this restored example has been rebuilt using synthetic stones, not diamonds.

Professional Restoration & Repair

The following work was carried out:

-The bezel was professionally repaired and restored.
-The bezel stones were restored/replaced with synthetic stones; they are not diamonds.
-The automatic movement was professionally serviced, repaired using an original ETA 2671 base calibre.
-Multiple movement components were replaced with new parts, including the pallet fork and balance assembly.
-The movement was cleaned, lubricated, reassembled, regulated, and tested.
-The case back was professionally polished to remove deep scratches.
-The engravings on the case back were carefully refreshed to improve their clarity and visibility.

The watch is now fully functional and has been tested after restoration.
